I received some very exciting news this morning! The International Institute of Complementary Therapies (IICT) has approved my Learn to Channel Course, a mediumship and channeling modality. This course has now been recognized for professional membership and insurance across Australia, New Zealand, the US, UK, Europe, and Canada.

I'm thrilled because it feels like a lifetime of preparation has gone into making this modality possible. Channeling isn’t something traditionally viewed as analytical or logical, but IICT has recognized the standards I’ve developed over my 20 years of teaching Reiki. It acknowledges my dedication to the craft and my commitment to training outstanding practitioners. Now, my students can receive the certification and protection needed to practice professionally worldwide.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn from someone with a tried and tested method, or you’re curious about the impact channeling can have on your life, feel free to reach out! You can find me on Instagram or Facebook, and I’d be happy to help you figure out if learning to channel is right for you and your business.

Today’s news couldn’t have come at a better time. Recently, I’ve been feeling like the universe had slowed the flow of abundance, almost as if I was spinning my wheels. I still love Reiki, but I began to notice my passion shifting toward channeling. This transition wasn’t easy—letting go of Reiki as my main revenue source felt like a huge decision, one that took months of consideration with my family. Eventually, I took on a part-time job, which gave me the stability to step back, focus on self-care, and reevaluate the direction of my work.

During this time, I heard the term “busy procrastination” in a podcast with Masha Goins on The Money Magnet. She explained how we can sometimes focus so intently on the wrong tasks that we don’t see progress, which was exactly what I was experiencing. With my part-time job covering expenses, I finally had the freedom to shift my attention from day-to-day business pressures and instead invest in my true passion: channeling.

With my mind clear and my energy focused, I decided to reach out to IICT about certifying my course. The response was amazing—they recognized my work with students and understood my goal of raising a new generation of highly regarded channeling practitioners. We discussed ways to strengthen the program, including new training requirements, practice sessions, and risk assessment guidance to prepare students for professional practice.

Today, after reviewing my course content, IICT approved it for certification. Now, my students will not only be trained as channels but can also gain professional insurance to practice safely under IICT’s support. This certification is a huge step forward for all healers and lightworkers seeking to offer their services professionally.

This podcast is where I’ll be sharing updates as things evolve. I’ve been chatting with my dear friend Fiona, one of my first Learn to Channel students and a Reiki master I trained. She’s also part of my advanced spiritual team, and together, we’re working on creating a space for people to learn from Anya’s wisdom, as I trans-channel and demonstrate. We’re also developing a framework to help my past students reach certification with IICT.

Thank you for listening to this first episode of my new podcast! I’ll be keeping you updated as we move forward on this exciting journey.
